This microwave replaced my 14 year old GE that the builder installed. I previously had a Kenmore, so I did not hesitate to buy this one when I liked its appearance and control buttons; but after a week, I regretted my purchase. The buzzer on this microwave drives us crazy! It is very loud and long, and continually beeps until you open the door. Everyone thought I was exaggerating until they heard it themselves. My adult daughter said, oh my God, it is still going! The only setting for it is on or off. There is no volume control. The display writing is gray on black and is very hard to see in low light levels. And the finger prints!!!! Now, it is making a strange vibrating noise after it has been running for 27 sec. This only lasts about 5-8 sec, and then it runs quietly again. My husband keeps yelling, get rid of this thing.
How long have you owned it:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
