Heavy Duty
Cons

Best Uses

Mashed potatoes
Comment:
This mixer is strong enough even for oatmeal cookie dough. It mashes potatoes to creamy smoothness. It's a big mixer, but it's the 3rd one I've bought THIS YEAR and it's the survivor. I'm ok with its slowest speed - can't imagine what reason there would be to start any slower.

Comment:
Anyone bad mouthing this mixer is truly clueless and/or cheap. For about $30 (I paid [$]), it is an EXCELLENT hand mixer. I am able to QUICKLY make wonderful whipped cream, meringues, mix cakes and brownie doughs, and make soft, yet fairly heavy Prezel Bread dough. The beaters and dough hooks are easily inserted and removed, it's quiet and effective. You can EASILY change speeds while mixing, you do not have to stop the mixer to make adjustments. Unless you want a professional mixer at a professional price of over a hundred dollars, you won't regret getting this mixer. The manufacturer offers a bit more powerful (300 watts vs. 200 watts) version of this mixer, under their Gordon Ramsey line. That tells you just how good these mixers are!
