do not buy until they improve wire whip

I have had one of these for at least 15 years and I love it. However, I bought one for my daughter and one for my daughter-in-law last year for Christmas and I have been VERY DISAPPOINTED. The mixers work well EXCEPT FOR THE WIRE WHIP WHICH I USE VERY OFTEN. IT IS NOW MADE OF SOME INFERIOR MATERIAL THAT TURNS BLACK WHEN YOU WASH IT, EVEN IF YOU WASH IT BY HAND AS DIRECTED IN THE INSTRUCTIONS. THEY NOT ONLY TURN BLACK BUT THE MATERIAL RUBS OFF ON YOUR HANDS. DISH TOWEL, OR ANYTHING THAT TOUCHES THE WHIP. YOU CANNOT EVEN BUY A REPLACEMENT THAT IS NOT MADE OF THIS STUFF. DO NOT BUY ONE OF THESE MIXERS UNTIL THE COMPANY REPLACES THE WIRE WHIP WITH ONE MADE OF BETTER MATERIALS.

The worst thing about this mixer is I never have an excuse to go shopping for a new mixer. I've had mine since '88, and only had to replace the motor brushes once.
