The Hurricane is very noisy

I've used this for 3 1/2 years. It's pretty powerful, but also very noisy even at the lowest speed. It's easy to use and to clean. My son picked it out after a lot of research and price comparing. I was going through chemo at the time and food smells nauseated me. It does a fair but not perfect job of sucking up the odors of stuff like Campbell's soup boiling away.
