About - Frigidaire Gallery FGGF3032MW

The Frigidaire Gallery FGGF3032MW is part of the range test program at Consumer Reports. In our lab tests, gas range models like the Gallery FGGF3032MW are rated on multiple criteria, such as those listed below.

Cooktop high:
This reflects how quickly the most powerful burner could raise a 6-liter (6 1/3-quart) pot of water from room temperature to a near boil.

Cooktop low:
This how well the lowest-powered element or burner kept a low temperature as for melting chocolate. We also set the most powerful burner to its lowest flame to test its ability to hold a large pot of tomato sauce below a boil.

Baking:
This reflects the evenness of cookies and cakes in multi-rack baking tests.

Comment:
I don't bake a lot now, but it has baked well when I've used it. I like the stove excepting for the poor positioning of the burners and the lack of drip pans - none are made for it, and you MUST clean all the time, almost a daily remove-the-grids cleaning.

A small burner is positioned in the center of the stove, with a large opening which is too big for my small pan to sit well on it. One large, quick-boil burner is positioned t the left-back of the stove - where a slow burner should be.

I love it that the burners can be turned to very, very low, and still retain a warming flame.

I am going to say, I would recommend this, but ONLY with the above caveats. I wouldn't buy this stove again, but would look for one with its attributes, but with better positioning of the burners, and with drip pans, for heavens' sakes.

Comment:
Wished i had bought the model tested, i did not want the convection option, when i purchased this range, but did seem to lose some features that i miss, went fm metal burner controls to plastic, and got the most basic of oven racks as well. though i may order these in the future. Range looks good, more time to clean stovetop, than i expected, black shows everything. Oven heats very well, controls are ok, easy to use. Found getting range level a bit of work, but at least all four corners are adjustable, and for some reason, i cannot find a label that says where this was made, USA? probably not, since my new MW was made in China, And new Fridge in Mexico, looks good with smugeproof Stainless in my Kitchen, and does what i want for cooking.

Comment:
Were it not for a defective glass panel in the oven door, I would give this model high marks. During the first and only self-cleaning oven cycle, the inner glass panel shattered. A replacement glass was installed under warranty, but it's doubtful that I will use the self-cleaning feature again.
