Ice Maker Problems

The ice maker has never worked properly on this unit. The extended warranty has afforded us nearly monthly visits from the repairman and multiple parts replaced to no avail. Now, the ice maker drips into the freezer, and the whole freezer is full of frost. Very frustrating. :(

Comment:

The refrigerator work for about 3 months then water frozen due bad engineering. The unit was replace after a number of service calls to repair which took weeks to get parts in only find that it didn't fix the problem. The unit was replaced and again worked fine for a few months. I made a baffle to prevent water line freezing up. Then after warranty expired the ice maker failed. You need to have the sequence of buttons to push to run diagnotics which are not available to the consumer. I fixed the Ice make fan but the unit will not restart. Shame on Electrolux
