This is the worst refrigerator I have ever owned in my over 30 years of buying appliances. The food in the vegetable compartments freezes if the rest of the fridge is cold enough. If temp control is set to 1 or 2, the veggies don't freeze, but the milk sours in one and one-half days.

This has been an on-going problem since it was first purchased. Had the repair man out once, early on, but he said he had done all that could be done. At that time, I took to heart his advice about overloading it, kept lots of space between items. Needless to say, its capacity went way, way down, and it still didn't help!

Less important, but still a nuisance is the shelf arrangement. Not too flexible. People under 5'3 can't look into meat drawer without sacrificing usable space under it. I have to take it out to look into it! Not life-shattering, but still a bother.

I would advise anyone to avoid this appliance.

This fridge started making noises after a year. the bottom freezer has limited room. it frosted all the time. After exactly 2 years it finally died and it costs over $500 to fix this piece. very disappointed in GE - will never buy another GE appliance.

Service tech's readings were 22 to 50 degrees in various parts of fridge, at the same time, so some food was frozen while other food was out of the food safety zone of 40 degrees. GE insisted it was repairable, but only declared it irreparable after 8 service calls and lots of begging on my part. Now GE is offering to replace it if I pay 20% of THEIR recommended retail cost (I can buy a new one for a little more than that). Repairmen told me to keep food away from
side and back vents, which dramatically reduced usable space. Light over top shelf further reduces usable space.Freezer drawer has to be closed hard to click in. This is the worst refrigerator I have ever owned.
