we liked the french door style of refrigerator and the convenience of the ice maker. After about 2 years the ice maker started clumping and after about a month gave out altogether. The bins in the door have limited ways they can be arranged to hold tall items like milk bottles. We wound up not using one of the smaller bins to maximize door space for milk, but a bottle of wine stil won't fit standing up.<br /><br />it is easy to clean and keeps temperature cold, the freezer drawer is capacious.

We love this fridge. it is very attractive and made with attention to details. The temperature is well controlled, and it is incredibly efficient. The bright LED lighting is a welcome feature, and the flexible layout of the shelves means we never have issues with storage options. It is a little deeper that we would have preferred since it fits within a cabinet depth area of our kitchen, but we are fine with the extra space on the exposed sides where we can display things with magnets. The Freezer door slides so smoothly you have to remember to be gentle when opening it. And now and then I notice some frost lightly covering the freezer shelves but that could be remedied by setting it a few degrees warmer. <br /><br />Our only gripe is the rather loud door alram when you leave it open for a minute, but it's doing what it was designed to do. Otherwise, we are very satisfied with this model and would gladly recommend it.

I was looking for energy efficiency. Also bought CR recommend washer at same time. Have seen 2 electric bills so far...less than 1 KWH per day difference, but hard to say. I NEVER hook up ice makers. Stupid me, I didn't pay attention to the shelving & bins sizes & layout or I would have seen the uselessness of the tiny middle veggie bin & double-wide shallow bin. I buy 10 lbs carrots for juicing--too big for bins. Same w/ bag of potatoes. I don't like to put heavy gallons in doors, but need to remove one half shelf to fit tall things in. Oh, well. Only 2 adults... we can live with it. It's pretty and OH SO QUIET... whisper quiet.

Noisy broken ice maker

I made a big mistake and bought this LP appliance. I wanted to be good to my wife and have had more headaches from this ever since it was installed. The repair service person does not speak english. Unable to communicate and unable to get it fixed. I was told to run the water to flush the water line for a longer period of time. Its been running continuously for four months and the ice comes out dirty. Had the new water line and external water filter installed by a licensed plumber based on the repair persons recommnedation and this did not make any differnece but to cost me more money. My licensed plumber even told me I made a bad choice and should have purchasd a GE or Samsung instead. I learned my lesson never to get LG appliance
