About - Samsung T9000 RF32FMQDBSR

The Samsung T9000 RF32FMQDBSR is part of the refrigerator test program at Consumer Reports. In our lab tests, bottom freezer refrigerator models like the T9000 RF32FMQDBSR are rated on multiple criteria, such as those listed below.

Temperature performance:
This combines results of tests measuring the accuracy of initial temperature settings along with how well a model 1) kept optimum temperatures in the refrigerator and freezer at the same time; 2) kept temperatures even throughout each compartment; 3) kept temperatures constant despite changes in room temperatures; and 4) maintained set temperatures even with very high room temperatures.

Energy efficiency:
This reflects electricity consumption (based on our tests) per cubic foot of measured usable storage space. For example, two models with the same energy cost per year may have different energy efficiencies -- the unit with more storage space being more efficient.

Noise:
Noise level was measured when the compressor started up and during steady running. Subjective judgments by a panel of listeners supplemented our noise-meter readings.

Like many other posters I too have icemaker issues.

After a few moths of use the ice dispenser jams and will not dispense and I am not able to remove the icemaker to clear the jam because it seems to be frozen in place.

I have a call in to Samsung and am awaiting a reply.

Comment:
This fridge holds a lot of food. I have all the holidays at my house and so I need lots of storage for food as I prep. I love this fridge, except for 2 things. 1) the icemaker - Samsung has recognized that it has a default, I am on my second board, the ice tray over fills and the water has no where to go. You can use a hair dryer to thaw the ice enough to get the bin out and then finish defrosting but for this kind of money you shouldn't have to do it. 2) removing drawers - the doors open wide, but they could open about an inch more to make it easier to remove a drawer if you need too.
