We too purchased a Frigidaire gallery similar to this model a year ago. Our model is FGHG2344MF1. The door sensor keeps going off by itself although the doors are securely shut and sometimes the refrigerator light doesn't come on. This made me believe it must have something to do with the electronics? I looked far back in the refrigerator and noticed that the interior of the refrigerator cavity right above the left and right refrigerator bulbs have melted the plastic making 2 splits about 1 inch long exposing the insulation underneath. When I put my hand back there I noticed that the heat of the bulbs was significant and seem to be placed high enough that it probably could melt the interior surround of the refrigerator. My repair person is coming tomorrow. Of course the warranty has just expired. I think others may have a problem with melted lights/interiors which is probably a defect which I'm sure Frigidaire won't care about.

my wife and i bought this monstrosity,oh, about a year ago,we went shopping the other day and as i was putting the milk in the fridge,i noticed above the light casing in the rear that the ceiling was cracking above the left light, and melting over the right light.so,i called frigidaire, and the person i talked to put me on hold and said that, this could be an unknown defect,he transfered me to another person that was to take the info.well that person said nothing like that has been reported before,we have this info on hand if any one else calls in the problem,or if in the future there is a recall,we will notify you ,well my warranty was up and i bought the x-tended warranty when i purchased this product,so over a period of a year the ceiling on this [*] has melted in 2 spots ,the manuf... told me to deal with the people who supplied the extended warranty,oh,its run around time again.....if the car manufacturer has a problem, they have learned, that if it has happened to one then it will happen to another one thus the recalls, maybe this company will find out too late that if you dont stand behind your product then maybe your product just isnt good enough to buy

Bought this fridge for our new house. Love the freezer on the bottom. Love that there is plenty of room on the top to hold platters and trays. Was really excited about the two ice makers, since we entertain quite frequently. That was one of the main reasons we went with this model. About six months after purchase, the top ice maker stopped working and shortly after that the bottom one quit. It took several service calls over many months and two complete replacements of both ice makers to get them working correctly. Unfortunately they only worked for 2 months before breaking again. The manufacturer refused to replace the item and since it is no longer covered under the warrenty, we have to pay to have them fixed every time they quit working now - or just go without ice. I would have rather had a fridge with one icemaker for half the price that actually worked. Don't waste your money or time with this product. I will never buy a Frigidair again. I guess they missed the whole you are supposed to get what you pay for!
