Comment:
We have had repairmen out so often--since the very first month when the freezer started making loud noises due to the fans freezing up. It has quit making ice numerous times, and now it has been diagnosed with a coolant leak. After 6 repair visits in the past 6 weeks, Sears has finally agreed to replace due to the Protection Agreement. However, we're not sure we want another one. Too bad because it's a beautiful fridge. The ice maker, while trim and in the door, also does not make enough ice for our family with teens--we are constantly running out.

Comment:
This 1.5 year old Frig decided to fail two days before Christmas! Bad compressor and circuit board and it will take at least one week to fix it! Anyone that has this Frig better have a backup frig available! Compressor covered by a 10 year warranty but the circuit board is not!

I'm done with Kenmore Elite!

Comment:
After a side by side refrigerator I thought I had died and gone to heaven when we got the Sears Elite. I bought it due to past good experiences with the quality of Sears products. I have had no issues with anything EXCEPT that the door bins break, and crack. So far I have lost four bins to this problem. One small shelf on the top left that only held four ice cream sauce and was hardly ever even touched (my teens have all gone to college and marriage) literally fell from the door one day. I have contacted Sears parts and they are currently researching my bin issues. After reading some of these reports I see that I am not the only one having issues. The parts department's initial response has been appropriate and polite. So far I have not heard of any suggestion for an equable resolution. (such as free or reduced price replacement bins...I mean FOUR bins in THREE years? sheesh! A fridge without door bins is pretty sad!
