We were the first in the Seattle area to receive ours and have owned it for over four years. Best appliance purchase we've ever made. Always get terrific comments from friends and guests. It's so far ahead of its time compared to US and Asian built models.

After ~ 2 years, there was a buildup of ice and frost in the REFRIGERATOR ( not the freezer). Initially I thought this was because of hot, humid weather, but after I defrosted it the same thing happened, and it turned out to be a faulty sensor in the refrigerator. I had not invested in an extended warranty, and it cost me ~ $259 to repair. <br />Checking online, I found other complaints. I think that in this era of computer-driven appliances, an extended warranty is probably quite cast-efficient.

Comment:

The ice maker has not worked since it was first placed in service (approx. two months as of the date of this posting). Service tech has been out three times, replaced multiple parts, and the ice maker is still not working. Liebherr is giving us the run around and dragging their feet on getting it fixed. I would not recommend this refrigerator at all. I am now considering legal action.
