About - Whirlpool WRF560SEY[M]

The Whirlpool WRF560SEY[M] is part of the refrigerator test program at Consumer Reports. In our lab tests, french-door refrigerator models like the WRF560SEY[M] are rated on multiple criteria, such as those listed below.

Temperature performance:
This combines results of tests measuring the accuracy of initial temperature settings along with how well a model 1) kept optimum temperatures in the refrigerator and freezer at the same time; 2) kept temperatures even throughout each compartment; 3) kept temperatures constant despite changes in room temperatures; and 4) maintained set temperatures even with very high room temperatures.

Energy efficiency:
This reflects electricity consumption (based on our tests) per cubic foot of measured usable storage space. For example, two models with the same energy cost per year may have different energy efficiencies -- the unit with more storage space being more efficient.

Noise:
Noise level was measured when the compressor started up and during steady running. Subjective judgments by a panel of listeners supplemented our noise-meter readings.

Worst fridge ever Repairs started 6 months after purchase Door gasket (right side) now replaced 4th time. Will never buy another whirlpool product again. So tired of calling for repairs on computore brain and gaskets. What a waste of money this was. Doesn't hold much food, and you loose self if something is too large. So sorry I ever bought this

Three Repairs In One Year

Comment:
This new refrigerator has required three repairs in one year. I am still waiting for a parts to come in after 3 weeks, because the first part leaked when connected. It has leaked water through the floor into the basement twice. Ice has collected in the refrigerator box and required complete defrosting twice. One of the drawers fits poorly, I cannot figure out why.
