Consumer Reports recommends that you match the features on a model to the needs you have. Here's our take on some of the specifications and features that are commonly available on side by side refrigerator models like the RS267TD[ ].

Claimed capacity (cu. ft.):
Claimed capacity is the manufacturer's estimate of the volume, in cubic feet, of interior space.

Water dispenser:
The water dispenser is normally accessible from the outside as part of the ice and water dispenser.

Stainless/SS-look option:
Stainless steel is stylish but it shows fingerprints. Another option: a vinyl-covered metal finish that gives you a stainless-steel look but resists smudging.

Do not buy
Comment:
Very unreliable product. Bought 8-2010. Ice maker broke within first year. Samsung finally replaced after several days of calls to their customer service. LED display on front panel broke during second year, living with it broken. Ice make broken again, will not repair it. I will NEVER buy a Samsung fridge again. I have a Samsung TV that is nice, but I am now leery of anything Samsung.

Very noisy refrigerator - do not buy

Pros
Energy Efficient
Holds Temperature Well
Cons
Noisy
Best Uses
Expensive paper weight
Comment:
It would be the perfect refrigerator if it wouldn't sound like a 50 ton truck driving through the kitchen every time the compressor kicks in and runs. I owned many different brands and types of refrigerators in my life, this one is louder than all of them together. Sadly Samsung does not want to do anything about it, now I ended up with the most expensive paper weight in the world...
