Every time that I would use this oven I would say to anyone around I love this oven!!! Now I am just sickened that it completely died after 6 months of use. I have contacted Breville Customer Support and am awaiting an answer. I usually don't write reviews but because of the expense of this product and the high ratings that this product was given by both CR and the store where I had purchased the product, I feel compelled to alert others to pay attention to all reviews about the product and the company's customer service.

We purchased this for Christmas 2012. The oven works graeat, looks great, and is easy to use. The magnetic pull out of the rack with the door is a nice feature. Display is easy to read and informative. Audio beeps are nicely done.<br /><br />5 weeks after purchase, the time setting control would not increase times. Breville customer service replaced it w/o issue in ~ 2 weeks. 2nd oven was a little noisier in convection mode than the first, but it worked well for almost a year and a half before it too went dead. No display, nada. <br /><br />When working, this is a great little oven (4 stars), but to have 2 defects on something that should last 10-20 yrs minimum is signs of a serious QC problem. I checked the internal power supply which seemed to be OK, so the control board has to be replaced. <br /><br />As someone else stated, it's cheaper to buy a new one than to have the old one fixed. So I'm back here to search for another make/model.

Not your average toaster oven

Strength
The best thing about this oven is its control. It is very intuitive. The controls are so well conceived, you really don't need to read the instruction book.
Weakness
Larger footprint on your counter top than the average toaster oven, but well worth the space it takes.
I looked at a $120.00 oven at Sears. It was little more than a over-sized toaster with a somewhat primitive control system for an appliance that cost more than $100.00. For example, the oven temp could only be set between 300-360 degrees.If you are interested in an efficient, well-designed appliance that offers the best of a well controlled toaster, oven, and broiler, this is the best choice, hands down. My only concern is how long the digital controls will last. At this price, it should be a long time.

Strength
Pre-heats quickly, toasts and bakes evenly. Easy to use.The baking utensils, included, seem high quality. Very attractive and I would definetly recomend to my friends.
Weakness
A bit disappointed that it only has one rack, for its large size.
My major comment is that when I opened the box a large sign said that refurbished models only had a 90 day warranty. Yet, I'm quite sure that the web site said one year. I commented on the fact that it was the same as a new product,while I was considering the purchase.
