Comment:
This toaster has malfunctioned multiple times. After only owning it for a few months, the timer stopped at 0, but the heat did not turn off. I had set the timeer for 5 minutes and had stepped away. I heard the ding when the timer stoppecd. When I returned, the toaster was still on and the toast had caught fire. Now I have had this toaster for a year and the same thing has occured again at least 2-3 times. Also, the labels on the timer dial wore off after a few months and I can't see the minutes, so you have to guess how long I'm setting the timer for. I can't step away, have to stay and watch, because I never know when the timer will stop and the heat stay on. (Doesn't happen every time - but at least once every few months.) I owned a different brand toaster for 10 years and had no problems. I will never buy Hamilton Beach brand again! Don't waste your money on this.

Comment:
Purchased for home use, but the temp calibration was so far off that it was useless. When set for BAKE at 200 degrees, it was 5% low. Unit was 15% low when set at 350 degrees. [*]
