Toaster is fine but not as quick as an ole fashion pop up toaster. Love this toaster oven. Had others with dials and after a while the dials become inacurate for time and temp. Love the digital features and touch controls. Use the convection oven feature to roast vegetables and bake potatoes. Fun and easy.....

I purchased this toaster oven at a local big box store and found the broiler tray dented. I emailed Oster, rather than return the whole unit to the store, and asked for a replacement. They ended up sending me an entire new unit! They were very quick to respond so in light of the negative reviews, I would say if you have a problem, contact the company. <br /><br />That being said, the unit is a little strange. All of the cook settings come with pre-set times that you have to adjust prior to cooking, otherwise the unit will shut off after that time. The unit also does not tell you when the unit is heated to the temperature desired, but it heats up quickly so I have not found this to be a problem. Since it is not the size of a regular oven you do have to monitor what you are cooking carefully, otherwise it might over cook or burn. I have actually found that even on the non-convection settings that it cooks things much faster than conventional cooking times that are listed in most recipes. <br /><br />I agree with other reviewers that it goes nuclear when it comes to cooking toast. Even the lowest setting makes for really toasted bread. I have enjoyed using the toaster oven to make a variety of things including a pie. The unit is large, but it really needs to be in order to hold a 9x13 pan. <br /><br />Overall, I've been happy with it and adjusted to the settings as I have been cooking.
