It Turns On
Ouside Gets Really Hot
Best Uses
Cauterizing Wounds
I brought it home and turned it to the highest setting(6) to burn off the manufacturing oils. After one cycle the exterior was too hot to touch. It's going back to the store tomorrow.
How long have you owned it:
A month or less
Bottom Line
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
What a Disappointment!
Easy To Clean
Best Uses
The bagel setting is 2-sided browning only when everyone knows that bagels are toasted on one side only. Their setting adds time on the assumption that thicker breads need more time to brown. I checked the manual and indeed this is intentional design. This is crazy and makes this toaster toast in this customer's opinion.
How long have you owned it:
One-to-three months
Bottom Line
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
Latch assembly is cheaply made
Worked Good For 15 Months
Cheap Latch Assembly
No Replacement Parts
Best Uses
After 15 months the toaster latch seemed loose and the toast would not stay down. I took the toaster apart to try and fix it. I found that the metal latch handle clips into a piece of cheap plastic which was cracked (apparently from repeated use). The part appears to be easy to replace, but unfortunately I could not find any parts available online (other than the crumb tray).
How long have you owned it:
More than six months
Bottom Line
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
