We bought the 4 slice toaster and are very pleased with it. Bread is evenly toasted on both sides. Many settings to get the toasting you want. It is worth the price.

4 toaster version is not very good

We bought the 4 slice version because it was highly recommended by Consumer Reports. It's never worked very well - burns the top, and doesn't cook the bottom of the bread. You have to manually pop the toast up half way through, flip it over and then toast it again to get a decent piece of toast. Paid over $100 and could probably get better results from a $8 [...] model. The unit is well build though ... and looks very nice ... just doesn't toast very well.
