About - LG DLE2250[W]

The LG DLE2250[W] is part of the clothes dryer test program at Consumer Reports. In our lab tests, electric dryer models like the DLE2250[W] are rated on multiple criteria, such as those listed below.

Drying performance:
This score combines performance on three types of laundry loads of different sizes and fabric mixes: A 12-lb. load, predominantly cotton, representing a family's large weekly load; an 8-lb. load of cotton/polyester blend clothing; and a 3-lb. load of synthetic delicates, women's pajamas, nightgowns, bras and underwear.

Capacity:
Among the models we tested, drum volume varied from about 6 to 8.0 cu. ft.

Convenience:
For this measurement, we judged controls and ergonomics, such as ease of loading and unloading, servicing the lint filter, whether the door could clear a tall basket, and whether the machine has a raised edge to contain spills.

Comment:
bought this unit brand new from our local Sears. for the time we have owned it I have found that for Every load I need to extend the dry time or run a full new cycle, which negates the energy efficiency it is supposed to have. Now it suddenly wont dry at all, no heat. We are a small family of 3 who does not use this machine more than once a week! When we phoned for service the service rep tells us that it is our fault it does not work due to using dryer sheets. the service rep insisted that was in the instructions to not use dryer sheets (it is not). And then we are told that we have to clean some sensor and that We do Not get service in our area!! Should have bought the basic dryer ! and we will NOT be buying an LG anytime soon!

I do find that some loads are damp when the cycle ends. But, come on! It's performed well for us and our very dirty dog and cat filled household.
