at first, i really liked the dryer and the matching washer. they were bought on sale and replaced our 20+ year old machines.<br />we bought the bottom bases through an auction site as refurbs and it was basically 2 for 1 compared to the price of the bases new.<br />the problems came in after 6+ months of usage. as others have mentioned, the lint filter is a big issue. it is a poor design. after using for now over a year, it does not seat well in the machine. it constantly catches on clothing and especially clothing with drawstrings in the waist.<br />the other major complaint is the amount of heavy lint that is accumulating inside of the bottom of the machine. my lint filter has been religeously pushed down into place as much as possible every use but a massive amount of lint makes it past the filter and is accumulating in the bottom of the machine and i have no way to dismantle the machine to clean out this fire hazard. i have tried a powerful shopvac from the from and rear with no luck. the machine had an lg warranty and i called them. by the time that i could get a local repair person to return my call to come and service it, the warranty period had expired. lg would not honor the repair on the lint issue even though they had record of me calling in for this and even that i had to keep calling in for lack of return calls from their local authorized repair people.<br />i bought a 3 or 4 year warranty from the retailer when i bought the machine but i assume that since its a design issue, the warranty may not cover the issue. lg should have stepped up and fixed this- especially since this seems to be a known issue and can be a fire hazard!

Comment:
The Dryer gets used about 5 times a week. The doors on the Washer and dryer open opposite each other and make it convienient to move clothes from washer to dryer.<br />The only complaint I have is the filter doesnt always seat properly and clothes tend to hang on it and get twisted up I have recently ordered another filter, we will soon find out if it is an improvement.
