We bought this dryer when we had to replace our washer so that we would have a matched set. I've never regretted a purchase so much. I use it maybe 2-3 times a week. At just under a year, it started making a horrible noise. Had a warranty repair, where they told us the drum gasket had torn in half and they didn't know why. They replaced the gasket. Several weeks later, the same problem happened again. This time, he replaced the whole drum/gasket assembly. Now it's been maybe two months, and it just broke again--same problem--last night. I've tried contacting Whirlpool, but they refuse to replace it even though it's having this same problem repeatedly. I would not buy this, or any other Whirlpool appliance, again.

We just bought the washer and dryer this week. Today was the first time we tried them. Washer worked fine. The dryer doesn't work. Had an electrician come by as it caused our circuit breaker to go twice. He said our circuit breaker is fine, it's the machine. Whirlpool is unavailable on weekends and the place we bought it from can't come for 4 days.

Comment:
We purchased this dryer on a recommendation from my daughter who has one too. Great dryer! Works quickly and efficiently. We have a family of five and need a large capacity, efficient dryer. We enjoy the sensor drying to get the clothes dry and tell us when it's finished.
