The Biokleen Powder is part of the dishwasher detergent test program at Consumer Reports. In our lab tests, dishwasher detergent models like the Powder are rated on multiple criteria, such as those listed below. Comment:

The ratings indicate that the Biokleen isn't so great on pots. I have never had a problem however we rinse our dishes before putting them in the machine. I love the fact that when I take a sip of water from my drinking glass I don't have the soap/chlorine smell that I had when I used the usual brands found in the supermarket. Even when I used a rinse agent my glassware still had an odor. I use many of the Biokleen products and have always found them to work just as well as the name brands and, in addition, I'm secure in the knowledge that I'm doing the right thing by not exposing my family to more dangerous chemicals.
