I really like these and feel they outperform anything I've used--powder or liquid. I have had no problems with streaking, purpling whites, or anything else. I toss them in first, and even sometimes last, and still no problems. I sometimes have trouble seeing the line on the cap, and am unsure if the load is large or medium, so this solves that problem. They're not too expensive, either. I think they're so cool looking that I wish those of us without children could buy them in clear packaging. They get out stains that liquids do not, and involve less pre-treating. They also seem to brighten colors, which is amazing, as I can't see how they could do that. The scents are so slight to my sensitive nose that I can hardly discern one from another, and appreciate the low dose of perfume. I heartily recommend these!

I use these at work for my work clothes that are usually covered in diesel fuel, oil, paint, and mud. They get my clothes clean, (most of the stains don't come out with these pods or any other detergent but the residue is done) they smell nice, and it's easy to use and travel with (don't have to worry about it spilling in my bag like I did with liquid detergent). My wife also uses them at home and we have not had any problems with our clothes being stained, or any allergic problems with our 2 year olds clothes. I recommend buying them in bulk at Sams Club or COSCO to help get the cost per load down.

I've used Tide Pods for about 4 months in a front load HE washer. I was pleased with the performance of the pods until today when they turned a load of whites into a blue/purple streaked mess. I did not notice the stains until the load was dried, now I can't remove the stains. The pod was placed at the bottom of the barrel, as directed, and hot water was used. The pod dissolved but the stains ruined my clothes.
