I used to use tide pods at the guest house I ran and it cleaned our linens and towels fantastically until one day we noticed blue stains on some of the towels. I then started using these for my home and since then tide pods have ruined 5 different work tops. How can a little laundry detergent pod end up costing me so much money with all of the things they've ruined. Do not waste your time. Yes, they're easy to use but it isn't worth it.

I have been using Tide Pods for several years now. I never had any problems until the last package that I purchased. The pods started to leave a sticky gooey mess on my laundry. I contacted P&G to complain. Then I started reading the reviews and noticed that this has become a problem in the last 1/2 year or so. I have a feeling that P&G changed the encasement of the pods but unfortunately, it is a big FAIL. Change it back please. I will not be purchasing any more pods until I read reviews that things have changed.

Pods seem to be causing purple staining

I have wondered if the colors in the pods were leaving purple stains, sometimes randomly in light/ white shirts, but seemed to be most obvious in underarm area. I have never noticed purple stains before and have been using the same deodorant for YEARS, and have usually used Tide products, powders or HE liquids prior to the pods. I have never noticed the purple stains before I started using pods. I usually use an extra rinse when washing. I don't sweat purple, and my shirts underarms aren't purple when I am wearing the clothes, it seems to be after washing. Pods are convenient, and I love them, and I will try putting the pods in first into the washer as I have seen in other posts.
