Steaming rate:
Steaming is calculated over a period of 10 minutes, except for the cordless which are evaluated over a 3 minute period.

Ironing fabric:
Based on: ironing a linen table cloth, thermostat set point, temperature swing and uniformity of soleplate thermal pattern.

Ease of use:
Rates a number of factors, including how easy it was to set, fill, and empty the iron, and to see water levels and markings and indicator lights. Other factors include leaking and how well the iron steamed at low settings.

Bought it at a quilt show. Retailers won't carry it, now I know why. It's over priced for such poor performance. Customer service is awful.

Talked to a rep shortly after iron burned up - he said I needed to pay 69.99 to replace my iron. So I decided not too. After several years, this past September, 2012, went to quilt show and they (Oliso Dealer) suggested I call Tina (Customer Service Rep) to talk to her and possibly get a replacement --- her replay was the same as the first person (now, because of it being several years old. So much for that residual conversation (I thught I was talking to the first customer service rep). Don't buy an Oliso!!
