Comment:
Bought this based on price (it was on sale). The retractable cord mechanism broke within 2 months. The fill line is extremely difficult to see, and the blue plastic effectively hides how much water you have already poured in (pouring water is a twisty, awkward proposition). The heat control dial is very awkward to turn. The power light turns on as soon as iron is plugged in: there is no light/indicator when the iron is ready to use (I would *love* a beep signal, like my dryer has when the cycle is done). After cleaning the iron, per instructions, I now have fine charcoal deposits on my shirts each time after resting the iron on its base.

I guess you get what you pay for: no more irons on sale! (and no more Proctor Silex/Hamilton Beach!)

No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Comment:
I hate this iron. My husband hates this iron. if my kids could iron, I'm sure they would hate this iron. I sew professionally and this iron makes me crazy! It is so temperamental - slow to heat, quick to turn off, and uneven it its steaming. Plus it tips over easily. Do not buy this iron. If you must have it, I will give you mine for free!
