Comment:
I must be a slow learner. This is 3rd Rowena, prices range from $50 to $140. The only difference between models/prices is how long it takes for them to develop leaks.

We iron at least one item per week, at first I loved it, however, it's been only a year and now water in leaking out all over. : (
This is my third Rowentha, 1st on lasted several years until my son dropped it.
2nd - Rowentha, lasted maybe 3 years, then the leaking started assumed it was dropped again.
3rd - Rowentha, this current one has never been dropped...kids are out of the house. It's leaking! I'm done with Rowentha.

Another year, another iron. I purchased the Rowenta DW2070 model in 9/2013. Today, a mere 18 months later, it poured brown water onto the white shirt I was ironing, and started making a loud, vibrating noise (very much like hair clippers). In my 50 years of ironing, I have never seen or heard anything like this. Despite the fact that I have used the water recommended by the manufacturer, emptied it out after every use, stored it properly, used the self-clean feature regularly, it's no longer useable. Of course, the warranty is for one year. Today, I will buy a basic, inexpensive iron--not Rowenta. It may not last any longer, but I'll have wasted less money when it has to be replaced.
