I am very disappointed that the second steam mop has already died, the first one I bought was a Hahn and it lasted a year. Now I have this Shark and it has lasted just a little over 16 months. I don't use it very often about every other week.
I also don't think they get the floors clean because I have gone over them after using the steam mop and the rag is dirty. I only use it when I need to wipe it up quickly, and am not being fussy.
I will not spend the money on another one just don't think they are worth it!

Comment:
We used the Shark 4-6 times per year. Our kitchen has a high-quality plastic tile with a granite-like surface texture. One of our baths has linoleum with some texture, too. Both of these are very hard for the Shark to thoroughly clean. (Our other bath with a very smooth marble-like tile is no challenge for the Shark.) But I had to laugh at the review from the user claiming to use the Shark six times a week. We purchased the Shark about five years ago, so we didn't use it more than about 30 times when it suddenly died today! I hope to replace the Shark with something more effective on textured hard surfaces.

I bought one Shark Mop and loved it, but it stopped steaming after I had it for a little over a year. I thought I had done something wrong so I purchased another one and had the same exact thing happen, except this time it gave off a loud - pop - and never worked again. When I called Shark Mop, they offered to replace it for half of the purchase price, plus tax and shipping - which brought it up to almost the full price I paid in the store. No thank you! I am not purchasing a third one for the exact same thing to happen. VERY frustrating to pay over $100 for a mop and it to break so easily!
