Weight (lbs.) The weight is rounded to the nearest pound and includes the battery or cord.
If the product would last, it would be better. Unfortunately, after a short amount of time it begins to loose it charge faster and eventually won't hold a charge at all. It also won't pick up things of any weight like cat litter granules... you're better off with a broom and dust pan. At the point the battery fails, you have to send it to the landfill as Dirt Devil does not have replacement batteries for the KONE. It's another throw away that ends up in a landfill. (please try to recycle the nickel cad battery that it contains) Don't waste your money as I have.

Comment:
I bought this to keep in the laundry room to vacuum the dryer filter as well as clean up on the table where I feed the cats and around the cat litter box. It is a piece of junk. It picks up small dry things like cereal or cat kibble. It is bad at things that are heavy and hair. It wouldn't pull lint off the felt edging on my clothes dryer filter or lint/hair that is threaded through the lint screen. After 3 years I threw it away. I put a small canister, a sanitaire, in there to do those jobs. I can't believe that consumer reports gives this vacuum such a high rating. It's casts doubt on all their ratings. It looks nice sitting on the table.

Comment:
Decent suction but when rechargeable battery dies there is no way to replace it. I am very tired of products that are designed to be tossed in the garbage after a year of use. This company should be avoided for such a wasteful design. And of course the battery is inaccessible so it finds its way into a landfill instead of being recycled. Talk about not being 'green'.
