About This Brand

Hoover introduced its first vacuum in 1907 and has established itself as one of the most recognizable brands in America. More recently, Hoover was bought from Whirlpool by TTI Floor Care, the owners of Dirt Devil. Hoover sells a wide variety of uprights at mass-market retailers, with models ranging from as little as $50 to $300. It also makes hand and stick vacuums, canister models (about $80 to $300), deep cleaners, central vacuums, bare-floor cleaners, and an outdoor sweeper, though the company is best known for its uprights.

Easy to pull out and use in a moment.

Pet hair winds around brush roller. The only way to get it out is to cut and pull it out. The easy way would be to be able to remove the roller.

Mine broke 1 month after the warrenty and I called hoover, they were of no use and the person Mike in Ohio was arrogrant. Would not let me talk to anyone higher than him. WILL NOT BUY ANOTHER HOOVER PRODUCT EVER.

Comment:
I purchased this product to use in my kitchen where the dogs come in and out of the dog door and track LOTS of dirt. There is a rug by the dog door that traps some of the dirt, but I needed something besides the corded beast to vacuum daily... sometimes twice daily.

LOVE IT! I find myself using it on the rugs and floors in the main house also because it has really good suction and is so easy to use and lightweight. The battery has a good life and the charger is super simple. For the price, it's a GREAT BUY in my opinion - especially because my kids like to use it : ). Also, it's not terribly noisy.

Ok, cons... it's all plastic, which makes it light, but you have to be careful when twisting out the inner cone to empty the bag-less filter. I cracked mine on the second empty (maybe because I didn't read the directions. It seemed intuitive). It still works fine, but if that piece breaks off I don't think I can glue it back, I will have to try to find a replacement part.
