Comment:
I bought a SuctionSeal (AS1104A) in October. Three months later, the drive for the brush (not the belt) busted. I called Eureka and they sent me an entirely new vacuum (ASM1105), because it was an apparent known issue where the shaft that drives the pulley was made of plastic, and they replaced it with one made of metal (which is funny because they look the same to me). It's April now, and while I haven't had a repeat with the brush drive (yet), but I have noticed that the part that holds the vacuum upright when not being used isn't very strong (enough of an accidental tilt, and the top will break away).

For a HEPA vac, I would not recommend it to those with allergies. Get something with actual sealed suction.

Comment:
Just bought it after we returned the junk Shark vacuum. This one has a height adjustment and it actually goes very close to the floor. No useless lights. Everything worked fine. Even picked up fine sand in grout joints. Very impressed. Let's see how long it lasts

Comment:
I have pets. When the vacuum worked it worked well; even on pet hair. However, within a month the beater bar stopped working. No noise, no warning, just stopped. The belt was not damaged and the motor did not squeal. The Beater bar just stopped. I bought the until at a local hardware store and will return it under the store's 90 day return policy.

No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
