About This Brand

Hoover introduced its first vacuum in 1907 and has established itself as one of the most recognizable brands in America. More recently, Hoover was bought from Whirlpool by TTI Floor Care, the owners of Dirt Devil. Hoover sells a wide variety of uprights at mass-market retailers, with models ranging from as little as $50 to $300. It also makes hand and stick vacuums, canister models (about $80 to $300), deep cleaners, central vacuums, bare-floor cleaners, and an outdoor sweeper, though the company is best known for its uprights.

Comment:
I vacuum about twice a week. This is a very powerful, easy to use vacuum that REALLY does an excellent job sucking up ground in dirt, pet hair and fuzz from new carpet. I love that it has a low setting for cleaning rugs (so the rugs don't easily get sucked up in the vacuum) and that it's SUPER easy to change the bag out. (Please change bags out at least monthly to keep smelling fresh and keep suction working optimally- just like having to wash filters on bagless vacs- and thank goodness I don't have to wash those messy, nasty things out anymore!). It's the nicest looking vacuum I've ever seen and lightweight compared to most, which I really needed after my baby, and has a nice, long cord. I am so thankful we bought this vacuum and I have enjoyed using it for over three years now!

Returned it. Just way too difficult to push on our carpets. Dissapointed as need a lightweight bagged model and there aren't many choices.

Comment:
I purchased this vacuum cleaner because it was touted as lightweight. I have back problems and need a cleaner that is easy to push. This cleaner has amazing suction, but that makes it very hard to push. My bottom-line not recommended is for users who have back issues.

No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
