This 19-pound Hoover bagless upright comes with HEPA filtration to reduce dust emissions and, as the name suggests, is designed with pet owners in mind. The bagless upright has an easy-to-reach on/off switch and a brush on/off switch, which helps keep dirt from scattering as you transition from carpets to bare floors. It also folds for storage--a rare feature in an upright.
About This Brand

Hoover introduced its first vacuum in 1907 and has established itself as one of the most recognizable brands in America. More recently, Hoover was bought from Whirlpool by TTI Floor Care, the owners of Dirt Devil. Hoover sells a wide variety of uprights at mass-market retailers, with models ranging from as little as $50 to $300. It also makes hand and stick vacuums, canister models (about $80 to $300), deep cleaners, central vacuums, bare-floor cleaners, and an outdoor sweeper, though the company is best known for its uprights.

Comment:
Well built product with power. But it is awkward to lift esp. up and down stairs. The hose really does not stretch easily. Low cord gets caught on the bottom of the power cleaning head so be careful.

Comment:
We use this vacuum for a 1 story house, that is relatively small, about 5-6 times a week, to keep pet hair to a minimum. Overall, not a bad vacuum, but the negatives overshadow the positives. Suction is pretty decent. The problem is the material or design of handle is extremely poor. The top screw in the handle stripped a couple of months after purchase, so that the two halves of the handle would come open and pinch our hands. Now, without the reinforcement of a single screw, the entire handle has almost completely broken off at the thinnest point, where the tool is stored, right below the handle. So the whole handle is taped up and looks tacky. Also, the internal components, of the canister, don't seal very well. All the components require frequent washing to keep reasonably clean. This was definitely not worth the money and i will probably go with another trusty Eureka or Kenmore in the future.

Comment:
Had an top of the line Kenmore canister for years which worked fine but finally gave up the ghost. After first use was surprised at how much dirt my older vacuum had left in the rug which the Pet Rewind vacuum picked up. I have a Siberian Husky which sheds like crazy twice a year. With the power attachment was able to finally get ALL her hair off my sofa's and chair. Hairs from both her outer coat (coarser) and inner coat (very fine). I am currently very pleased with this model. Haven't owned long enough to comment on reliability.
