Comment:
This is my second Oreck and it is a very nice machine. My first Oreck was the full blown Oreck and it lived a tough life as I live in the country and breed horses and dogs. That machine lived for 12 yrs with tough use. The Magnesium has a sharp turn in the tubing after the dirt enters the brush head intake and the dirt and pet hair on my floor will catch and clog there. I kept hoping I would use it often enough to prevent this but it happened a lot and is very frustrating. If I were a better homemaker, it probably would have been able to handle it. I need a more robust machine that can handle the huge amounts of dirt we present and will pass this nice unit on to a relative with less of a challenge for it.

Comment:
Oreck has changed and does not have the same quality or standards it once had. I've owned Orecks for 40 years and the last two I've owned have required many repairs. Now don't know what to buy. Perplexed!
