About - Shark Navigator NV22L
This bagless upright from Shark weighs in at a light 16 pounds, which is a nice feature since uprights--unlike canisters--require you to drag the entire machine back and forth over carpets and floors. The vacuum has a 31-foot,manual-wind cord, along with a full-bin indicator that marks when thebin needs to be emptied before the machine's cleaning power begins to suffer. The Shark Navigator NV22 also has a brush on/off switch for moving between carpeted and bare floors without scattering dust and debris. This model lacks an easy-to-reach power button and does not manually adjust to match your carpet's pile height. There's also no suction control, which many find helpful when cleaning delicate drapes and upholstery.

Comment:
I have tried a few of these & now have the one that least sucks. This model here has cyclones that require compressed air to clean out every 3-6 months depending on usage.
See this video about all the maintenance:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gBn0xmbmSFI

If you have long hair be prepare to cut away hair etc from the motorized floor roll brush after every THREE uses. Cup holds barely anything & makes a mess as you dump it b/c you have to bang it like crazy to dislodge any dust/ dirt out. If you have long hair you have to pull it out of the cup b/c it gets wrapped up in there. You really have to wash out filters every 2-3 months.
Find dust builds up inside the cup & cyclones so compressed air is required to get it all out. The video suggests the local car garage.
If after all this you still have problems then be prepared for customer service from hell; with wait times of 1 hour to talk to a live human.
Even w/ a 5 yr warranty you have to pay $20 each way to ship the vacuum to & from Euro-Shark b/c there are ZERO authorized service centers. This applys even if you know it is just the motorized floor brush or if you have loose latches on the dust cup. They don't just send you the required part or allow you to just send in the damaged part; they wouldn't allow me to send in the damaged dust cup for a new one.

I've had this sweeper for about 18 months. I use it ALOT! It has held up exceptionally well. -With exception to the hoses, that recently cracked... but, no problem! I called the 800 number and they replaced them BOTH, no questions asked!!! How great is that! (:
A Great product. Definitely worth the money!!!

Comment:
I bought the Shark Navigator is 2011. Within a year, both hoses had cracked, resulting in a loss of suction. We contacted Shark to see if they would fix the issue. They sent us a new vacuum, after they received our old one. We had to pay shipping on it. Less than a year after receiving the new vacuum, the hoses cracked again, in the same spots. I called Euro-pro again and received the same response as last time. We send the old vacuum back, pay the shipping, and they will send us a new one. This is a complete joke. I have not used the product for anything outside of vacuuming my carpets. The hoses should not be cracking as often as they do. I will never buy another Shark product.
