My wife has asthma & allergies so I do the vacuuming twice a week. Tile floor with area rugs (median and low height). Had this vacuum almost 2 years. First, after purchase, go on line and get the washable canister filter. You can get a year's use out of one filter. Clean/rinse the canister, canister filter and associated parts after every use. Unfortunately, the HEPA filter needs replacing about every 3-4 months. Still using the original belt. Very good suction and pet hair pickup compared to out last Hoover bagless. Used the hose several time, but is unwieldly. All plastic, careful use so nothing broken yet. Overall, good vacuum.

The other reviews about cover the issues we've had with it. It worked well at first, but after the belt broke it was pretty worthless. It often clogs due to poor canister design, and when it is taken apart it can be a pain to get the top part to clip back onto the canister. I think it's slogan, Better than Dyson, is a tad bit biased.

I bought this vacuum as it has an attractive advertisement of Better than Dyson, 1/2 the price. We have two rooms in our house that I vacuum weekly. The long power cord and cord rewind was very handy. Found out the vacuum cleaner was not actually on fire as it appeared, it was just the belt smoking after seven months of use. Our local stores do not sell the S belt. Called Eureka customer service and they were not very helpful in locating this S belt. Finally, found a store an hour away from me that carries this belt. Unfortunately, this vacuum burns up the belt within two months of putting in a new one. You get what you pay for so I am doing research on a real Dyson.
