Comment:
Had the vacuum for over 3 years now. Motor and such still running, still cleans carpets fairly well. The included attachments are fairly weak examples of the things you need to clean a home. The suction powered scrubber came to a grinding halt after maybe an hour of cumulative use over several weeks cleaning cat hair off of a couch. The belt that drives the carpet brush/beater bar is constantly falling off rendering the unit useless until reinstalled. I cannot recommend this unit based on our experience but I refuse to trash it due to it's price.

CR lested this as a great buy. It does everything CR listed. The cons this vacuum does not do great for long extensive cleanings. it over heats if used over a period of time. The casing has broken down less then 9 months into use. The electric cord began to fray within 3 months. The retractable cord options gave out in 5 months. now the casing its self is breaking down. or longer

Comment:
Excellent on carpet, especially pet hair. Average on hard floors. Too many functional problems. Dirt cup fills up too fast and I have to use another tool to dig it all out because it gets stuck when dumping, even when I dump often. Doesn't pick up well on wall edges. Hard floor particles constantly scatter due to brush not being able to turn off. Rewind gets stuck every other time I use it. Hose design is great so it doesn't fall off it's hook, but it does not stretch well when using extension tools.
How long have you owned it:
One-to-three months
Bottom Line
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
