Comment:
We have owned Kirbys, Kenmores,Hoovers, Mieles, etc. and this is by far the best we have used. We use it on our home and autos. Our $600 Miele has been demoted to our vacation home.
We bought one of the first of these models and have never had any service or incidents with it
Wish these would have been available years ago

Comment:
I've owned this vacuum for over a year, and while its suction performance is fantastic, it has some major flaws. Foremost, the quality of materials is very low. In particular, both the lower and upper hoses have completely disintegrated. The powered pet hair accessory brush has broken once and needed to be replaced. The plastic button that you use to detach the handle from the body has broken off. One of the clips that attach the dust bin to the base is now loose and not working properly.
In addition to the materials quality issues, my second biggest complaint is the short power cord. It's barely long enough to allow me to vacuum a moderate sized room without having to switch outlets.
There is a general lack of stability to the vacuum as well. When the handle is detached and accessories are used, the unit falls over routinely. Its center of gravity is pretty high, and with even a gentle tug on the hose, the whole thing topples over.

With two young children and pets in the house, I use this device heavily (like every single day). While I have been impressed by its strength and ability to suck up pet hair, I would not buy it again. The cons outweigh the pros. Even with my heavy usage, I would expect a product at this price level to have a longer useful life.

Doesn't live up to its claims

Pros
Long Power Cord
Powerful/Good Suction
Cons
Awkward To Use Cannister
Heavy
Poor Design
Suction too strong
Too Long Cord
Best Uses
Comment:
I use this to vacuum. The upright use on wood floor is okay, but power cord is so long it gets caught and must be carried. It also moves a bit awkwardly. On rugs, much too strong - eats the rugs. The lift away is horrible - too heavy to lug around and impossible to place down without tipping over.
