Comment:
I have owned two Simplicity Freedoms in the past. first the pros, I LOVED that it was SO LIGHT, easy to maneuver, had incredible suction, and the brush always left beautiful carpet lines.
The only downfall to both, was that one sucked up a penny, and ruined the motor beyond fixability, and the other sucked up a safety pin and did the same thing. I had this problem with the Oreck XL too. it's a shame they can't find a way to make the motor more resilient to small metal objects.
This vacuum is really best suited for a neat freak, who picks up everything off the floor before running the vacuum, and lifts up drapes if they sag on carpet (less they get sucked in...)
A former cleaning woman had suggested this brand to me, I just wish it were sturdier.

This is my fourth Simplicity vacuum. I bought my first 7 series about 17 years ago and just traded it in (perfect working order, BTW) on a Simplicity Freedom F3700 (only slight differences from this F3600 model like metal beater brush.) I also have an F3300 (lowest end of the Simplicity Freedom models) that I have had for more than 2 years, and I have a Simplicity Synergy (Top of the Line- Rattlesnake) that I have owned for about 5 years now. The first 7 series did such a great job for us and it really sold me on the Simplicity product. I bought the Synergy-Rattlesnake next and it is the finest vacuum I have ever owned. We have two inside dogs, including a Siberian Husky that can really shed some hair, so the vacuums are used quite often. The Synergy is larger and bulkier but has all of the tools and great reach with it's hose. My new housekeeper complains because it is heavy and we have 3 levels to clean. So I purchased the F3300 a couple years ago. It is an 8 pound dynamo of a carpet cleaner. It can be carried up/down stairs by almost anyone and does a fantastic job. So just recently I decided to trade-in my oldest 7 series model for the Freedom 3700 because it can also handle the hardwood floors and tile. What a great move. The housekeeper is so happy because I leave the F3300 downstairs for the finished basement cleaning, and now the new F3700 handles the hardwood on the main floor and the carpet and tile on the upper level. It does an amazing job with both and the HEPA air quality is very good. Not quite as good air quality as the bigger more expensive Synergy, but very good. I have had nothing but positive experiences with the whole Simplicity line. I don't quite understand the scoring they get from Consumer Reports, because I have tried many cheaper brands and some more expensive brands have been over for in-home demonstrations and the Simplicity vacuums seem to always do as well or better than these more expensive products. I highly recommend these products. American Made, top quality, excellent cleaning, great value. And of course.....the Housekeeper is very happy!!

I owned a simplicity 7 for I guess about 8-10 years. Getting older in age (ME) it seemed to double in weight, although it was heavy. Got to where I had a hard time vacuuming with it. While picking up bags for my monster at the vacuum center they were demonstrating a simplicity Freedom F3600. I tried it and it was very very impressive. Got my wife and she tried and said she liked it. Bought it and took it home. Got it and a 6 pack of large bags for just under $400.00, great but. Now I hav'nt been vacuuming like I should. I tried the new one and Can not believe how nice it works. So nice to go from the carpet to the tile floors with just a flick of the switch. Fantastic machine. Very powerful and on the F3600 when you go to the tile floors unlike my old big machine, it sucked up the dirt, pet hair and did not sling it ahead of the machine. It has a squeege in the front of the brushes that prevents dirt and pet hair from getting tossed out in front of the machine. It is very light weight and powerful. This machine mind you has NO on board tools. So keep your old machine for dusting moulding, baseboards etc. Now that you read this review don't you think you need to go and check out the amazing new Freedom F3600 by Simplicity right now?? good luck with your new Simplicity Freedom F3600.
