About - LG WM2350H[W]C

The LG WM2350H[W]C is a front-loading washing machine available from LG. The WM2350H[W]C typically costs $878.00.

Consumer Reports recommends that you match the features on a model to the needs you have. Here's our take on some of the specifications and features that are commonly available on front-loading washing machine models like the WM2350H[W]C.

Energy star:
The federal Energy Star program, administered by U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the U.S. Department of Energy, identifies a wide range of home appliances that use 10-50% less energy and water than standard models. These appliances can help you use less energy at home and save money on your utility bills.

Stainless-steel tub:
Tubs constructed of stainless steel are likely to be more durable than plastic or porcelain, and they allow for higher spin speeds. Plastic is the next most durable choice.

Auto bleach dispenser:
Automatic Bleach dispenser releases the bleach at the proper point in the cycle, giving the detergent additives sufficient time to work.

About This Brand

South Korean company LG was the first to market with steam washers; the company claims its machines provide real steam (created by a steam generator). The latest wrinkle from LG is what it calls the Allergiene cycle. That cycle, says LG, reduces and removes 95 percent of dust mites and pet dander from a load. LG washers range in price from $900 to $1,600.

I wash at least two loads a day, much of them bedding, heavily soiled clothes. Went from a very large capacity agitator which cleaned quilts, huge loads in half an hour to this one that takes two hours to properly clean anything. At first I was using liquid soap and finding my clothes smelling like old sweat. Very embarrasing. My husband found me smelling under the arms of all the clothes as I took them out. We then got the warranty repair person out to check it all and he found nothing wrong but suggested that we use powder soap and hot water. I was previously using warm which I always have for even greasy clothes with no problem for many years. We did this with better results. So now the only cycle we use is heavy duty, water plus, hot water and if I catch it add an extra rinse. So it now takes 2 hrs to wash a load, hot water and powder soap. I am used to it now but really can't see how this is more efficent. I would gladly have my old machine back if they still made them.

I bought this LG machine based on last year's ratings of LG products - big mistake! It replaced a 31 yr old Kenmore which finally died but washed very well. The new one does not wash well at all, can't get spots out of clothes even if you pre-treat spots, leaves cat hairs in the drum after washing cat blankets. (yet no hairs in the filter). It sometimes dumps bleach, before it's supposed to, spotting clothes. While it's totally level on a concrete floor, the drum vibrates quite a bit.

The repairman said it washes best if you wash small loads and sort out the clothes into similar types and sizes - Hello! Who has time to baby a washing machine.

Regarding LG support, when you call LG, they just try to explain how to baby the machine so it washes correctly! But it never washes correctly. Otherwise, they were no help at all. Isn't a new fancy expensive machine supposed to know how to wash clothes - all by itself???

What a huge disappointment! Wish I could return it and get my money back! I would never, and I mean never, buy an LG product again! Next time, I go back to the reliable top loader. Don't waste your money on an LG washer or dryer! Have had problems with the dryer also.

Needed a large capacity washer.Bought this machine based on review for LG2301 which is obsolete now. The machine vibrates badly on spin cycle but checks out fine with a level. LG customer service says if washer is on a crawl space the floor must be stable due to high RPM, works fine on concrete slab. They said they would schedule a dispatch but they don't see a problem when you hold the phone up to washer and they run the test tone.If they think the floor is the problem they will bill us for the dispatch so I guess we either take a chance on the bill for the dispatch or are stuck with a rocking washer. Other than that
the machine works ok.
