About - Samsung WF330AN[W]

The Samsung WF330AN[W] is part of the washing machine test program at Consumer Reports. In our lab tests, front-loading washing machine models like the WF330AN[W] are rated on multiple criteria, such as those listed below.

Washing performance:
This reflects the degree of color change to swatches of fabric that were included in an 8-pound and maximum capacity test load of mixed cotton items using the machines' most aggressive normal cycle. (We do not use special cycle or option buttons.)

Energy efficiency:
This score is based on the energy needed to heat the water for 8-pound and maximum loads using a warm wash and cold rinse. We consider both gas and electric water heaters, and include electricity needed to run the washer and energy needed for drying. Washers that extract more water are scored higher.

Water efficiency:
This score denotes how much water it took to wash our 8-pound load and each machine's maximum load. On models that didn't set the fill level automatically, we used the lowest fill setting that sufficed for the 8-pound load. We then calculated water used per pound of clothing.

Comment:
After having this washer two years, I still think it is the best purchase I have made. I didn't get the matching dryer but my old one does fine since the clothes are nearly dry when the washer finishes and I like that it plays me a tune sings to me instead of an annoying buzzer. My clothes are cleaner and if I need something washed fast the quick wash does a nice job. My male dog decided to mark his territory on my bed with two king size down comforters on it. I was able to fit the comforter and the duvet cover in the wash and the sanitize cycle did a wonderful job cleaning them without damage. It would be nice of the door was reversible but that is minor compared to all the benefits. It is also very quiet. I don't even hear it when I'm standing right in the room with it and my hearing is better than average.

Comment:
I bought this in US and using it in India. Weekly 2 cycles, it cleans clothes great. Reduced drying time.<br />It brokedown with door lock issue. Door lock broken into 2 pieces. I can still use it if I sit infront of it and hold the door! I have called the support and waiting for them. Such a good washer did not last for 6 months and that is not I expected from Samsung.

Comment:
I wash 5 loads a week. Amazed how clean clothes get now. Love the bedding cycle. Very simple to use. My wife loves the delicate cycle. I didn't expect energy savings from clothes drying in half the time as I still have my 5 year old GE dryer. I had read reviews before I bought about mildew or mold forming, but I have had absolutely no problems with either. I do dry the door and rubber gasket after use and leave the door cracked open with a towel for a few hours after use. Also cuts down on the amount of detergent needed. Much longer cycles than top loader but just takes a little adjusting on my part. Would buy again without hesitation.
