We purchased this washer in March 2013. We are very pleased with it. It so quiet we can't tell it's on and it is in a place in our house that you can hear very well. It works very well and gets our clothes top notch clean. We give our washers a hard work out too, we are a 4 person family. I would purchase it again,...so far. Now for the Cons. The pedestals are very expensive for what you get, but are sturdy. The print for the control knob is difficult to see on the grey model which is what we have. Also the print for the touch controls is a little difficult too. The door seems a little flimsy but not too bad, it should be made sturdier. I wish these front loaders these days were made with a soaking selection, which this doesn't have. I did my research and am a meticulous person and my family uses the washer every other day. I bought it from Lowes and will never buy another appliance from them. It took 6 weeks for delivery and the salesman didn't help me get the best deal. He also got snippy after delivery when I had questions. All in all I am very pleased with this choice of washer. We also purchased the matching dryer and have the same thoughts about it. As time goes by I will update.

We bought this washer to replace a failing extra-large capacity top load washer, and we couldn't be happier with it. We have triplet teen girls and they generate a lot of laundry. We were washing an average of 1.5 loads per day with our old one, and with this one we have cut the number of loads in half, and the clothes come out cleaner. The steam feature is also nice.<br /><br />I was able to wash 21 full size bath towels without a problem. It would have taken 3 loads in my last washer. I can also wash all of our bedding in one load without overloading it. On the other side of the spectrum, I can use the quick wash setting for a small load and get it done in about 15 minutes.<br /><br />I also noticed that the clothes come out much dryer due to the high speed spin. This has cut down on the drying time by 1/3 or 1/2 of what it used to take, which save me money too. It's also extremely quiet, so we can run it at night and still be able to sleep.<br /><br />I haven't had any of the stinky washer problems that seem to plauge front load washers, but I leave the door cracked when not in use, and use the Tub Clean feature once a month like it recommends.<br /><br />So far, I don't have anything bad to say about this washer. It's better than I expected, and it was worth the money.<br /><br />One piece of advice is that if you buy this (or any other front load washer), install some water hammer arrestors on the supply lines. If you don't, your pipes will shake throughout the house as the washer fills. You can find them at any hardware store, and they make a big difference when the fill valves slam shut.

I was a little nervous about buyin a washer that costs so much but now after having it I wouldnt get any other. This model is the quietest washer I have ever been around and I have installed and tested dozens of different ones in my line of work. I have worked on many washers and I am literally impressed with the design and user friendly controls. I washed work towles in it and they came out smelling clean a compared to normally they were oily smelling in my older Maytag. Trust me LG has a winner here and the dryer model that goes with it is a winner as well!!!
