I bought this washer after reading great reviews and it worked well for awhile. The only problem I had was that if I used quick wash setting, it would only run half the cycle and give me an error. However, after about 8 months the water pump underneath broke and flooded my entire laundry room. Since it was still under warranty, Samsung is going to exchange the unit out. It washes clothes well, but I have seen several other people write that their water pump broke as well so therefore I would not recommend this unit. However, I would say that Samsung was very proactive and helpful.

Washer broke down after only three months after purchasing. After five attempts to repair the unit by Samsung we are beginning to start the refund process. Almost two months have elapsed since the unit first broke and will take another month for a refund to process.<br /><br />Buyers beware of Samsung washers, and especially Samsung technical/customer service!

Purchased based upon CR rating. Very disappointed, as I replaced both washer and dryer because existing dryer broke down - didn't really need a washer. Wish I kept the old Maytag. New unit will not deliver correct water temperature. HOT is barely warm, and WARM is cold. The only way I can get hot water is to select the Heavy Duty selection which extends wash time and is too long for normal fabrics. Also you have a very short window in which to add additional laundry after unit starts - just barely after it initially fills with water. I submitted a service request on the Samsung website. They scheduled a service date. Next day I received an email canceling the service, with no explanation. I called and they stated that my request did not state the problem. I explained that I wrote a comple description of the issue on the original request. They said they need to start over. Due to travel requirements, it will be another three weeks before we begin to resolve the issue.
