We paid for the Baby Trend FlexLoc months before our twins were born. Why? Because it worked with the snap and go travel system for twins. That's where this product shines. The travel system is awesome with the combined Baby Trend Double Snap and go.

Our twin boys came early at 35 weeks. They were 4.5lbs the other 4.11lbs. Before they are released, the NICU department at the hospital does a car seat study. They failed in the Baby Trend Flex Loc product. As it should, since it is rated for 5-30lbs. The hospital gave us a list of recommended car seats for premature babies. This lead us to the Chico Key fit 30, which also works with our Baby Trend Double Snap and go Twin travel system. If I only knew about the Chico Key fit. It truly is a better product all around. Easy to setup and to install the car base. Easier to tighten the latch straps.

Highlights about the Flex-Loc product, the handle. You can carry the product in different grips. It makes the product feel lighter when it actual isn't. It gives you the ability to change your grip hold, thus making you feel not as tired when logging it around. It also has a slightly smaller foot print in our 2011 Subaru Outback than the Chico Key Fit 30.

All and All, our boys gained weight. We took back the Chico Key Fit 30 to babies R' US (90 day return policy). We were not able to return the Baby Trend Product since we purchased that over 90 days ago.

I'm not sure what its called, the seat harness connection that straps your baby in, that connection sucks. You have to connect it together before inserting into the lock. It can take some getting used to.

My advice for parents expecting twins. Buy the car seat more closer to your due date. Twins tend to come early. Buy from a place with a good return policy. Test out the product and see how it fits on ALL YOUR VEHICLES. Not just the car you think the babies are going to be in. Not everything goes to plan with. You will find your self driving with car seats in a Toyota Corolla when you bought the seats to work for another car.

***Mic Drop***

I first got a Baby Trend seat with my son in 2009. It was one of the ones that only goes to 22 lbs, so as soon as he outgrew it I got one that accomodated up to 30 lbs, 30 inches. I now have one with my daughter as well. I LOVE this seat and recommend the brand to everyone. The price is awesome and the safety reviews are very good. My handle doesn't stick like a lot of reviewers said, but you do have to make sure that you push in the buttons really well to get it to go. I have washed the cover and straps (many, many times) and it still fits perfectly, but you have to let it air dry. It only takes a few hours to dry so wash it at night, put back together in the morning. It fits well in my car, but is a little wide so I had to purchase a narrower seat for my son. Only complaints: I wish that I could take off the canopy to wash it and this seat is quite heavy. I think it's 11 lbs WITHOUT a baby. I haven't owned another brand of infant carrier so I don't know if this is normal or not. Best feature: There is a dial on the back that you twist in order to adjsut the straps. NO RETHREADING! Overall, I think this seat is wonderful.

Comment:
I have used this for my infant since she was born and she is now 7 months old. I love how safe, druable and stylish it is. I hate that my baby can't enjoy toys on the bar since it has to be rolled back to press up against the front seat. This causes my baby to get bored easily in the car. It is also very heavy.
