Comment:
I chose this highchair more for the flat fold than anything. We have a tiny house, and tiny eat-in kitchen, and we (dilusionally), were thinking we'd just fold this up and tuck it in a closet after every meal! HA! Clearly, this was our first kid!
It DOES fold pretty darn flat--flattest I've seen. BUT, you have to remove the tray, and do a few tricky moves with the tray support. It's easy once you know how to do it, but I've had friends borrow it (due to it's convenient fold), and have had to give a tutorial each time. I think we only used this as our main chair for 2 or 3 months. We ended up buying a sassy seat to clip onto our table, and that proved much more convenient for our tiny kitchen. Still, this DOES have a small footprint, and the narrow legs allow you to tuck them into nooks and crannies to make it fit almost anywhere. It doesn't have a big, solid base like many others do. It's very sturdy though--the legs look a little spindly, but it's always felt very secure.
I love the look--clean and modern. I have the orange, and love it. I've gotten lots of compliments on it. The fabric is very thick, durable vinyl, I think. It reminds me of the car seats we had in the 80's. That's one of my favorite parts---VERY easy to wipe clean, although I haven't tried removing it and washing yet, but hey, I haven't needed to!
If it weren't for my limited floor space, I would buy this again. My only real complaint is that my son seems to slouch in it now. He always starts out fine, but by the end of the meal, he's slipped down, chin almost to the tray! I'm not sure why this happens, but its not just him. A friend that borrowed it said the same thing. This never happened when he was little (we started using it at 4 months), and it had enough support and recline for him then. It seems to be an issue only for toddlers. I started noticing it around his 1st birthday.
How long have you owned it:
More than six months
Bottom Line
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.
