Combi Catalyst stroller

Approximate retail price:
Summary: This Combi stroller is a departure from the company's usual compact/umbrella designs. The Catalyst, accommodating up to 50 lbs, is, per Combi's web site, a bassinet/stroller, with its lie-flat recline; a travel system with compatible Combi infant car seats (adapter included); and a toddler stroller. The seat is reversible. We found it bulky and heavy, but it does have some good features.

About - Combi Catalyst

The Combi Catalyst is part of the stroller test program at Consumer Reports. In our lab tests, traditional stroller models like the Catalyst are rated on multiple criteria, such as those listed below.

Ease of use:
Ease of use is based primarily on ease of using and adjusting the safety harness, folding and unfolding, adjusting backrest, lifting and carrying, engaging wheel brakes and car seat removal and installation (only for compatible strollers).

Maneuverability is assessed by trained staffers on how well the strollers maneuvered S-turns through cones, narrow sections, grass, dirt trails, uphill, downhill and curbs while walking.

Safety is assessed by testing for compliance with the most current version of the standard, ASTM F833-13, and stability and usage tests designed by Consumers Union.
