Car Seat Seatbelt Difficult

Comment:
Although I enjoyed the stroller- it is a nice height, can be used with or without the car seat, car seat snaps in easily, stroller has convenient cup holders- I hated the car seat. The seatbelt is like a puzzle piece- you have to fit the pieces of the straps together and hold them in that position while pushing them into the piece between the legs. The 2 pieces cannot go in separately- they must go in simultaneously and they don't snap together so you just have to hold them together and push. When you have a squirmy or upset infant, it can take multiple attempts to get the car seat buckeled (and as a 1st time parent, you're already running late everywhere you go!). Additionally, the straps twist within the 2 plastic puzzle pieces so I constantly had to untwist the straps back through the pieces. It is very annoying and my husband and I both hated trying to get our son buckled in. Lastly, as my son grew, the seat belt had to be completly unthreaded and rethreded through new slots which is not an easy process. The seatbelt on the stroller is so much easier to buckle and adjust. I don't see why they don't have the same seat belt! I purchased the travel system based on both looks and consumer reports review, but given the difficulty with the seatbelt of the car seat, I would not recommend it. Now that I'm pregnant with my 2nd child, I'm considering selling this travel system and buying something else.

Comment:
We use the Eddie Bauer Travel Adventure System almost daily. The biggest problem: Adjusting the straps to our son's little body. It was almost impossible to get the hard plastic clips (that go in the crotch area) through the space allowed. We complained and sought tips from the manufacturer, who said no one else EVER complained about this. Hard to believe. We had to use a knife to cut away plastic to get the clips through. Besides this flaw, we like the system.

My husband and I purchased the Eddie Bauer Westlake Travel System after our prior Graco Travel System was recalled due severing fingertips in 7 children! Even with the fix, we didn't want to take the chance of our little girl getting hurt! We love the Eddie Bauer! The stroller is comfy for our daughter, easy to setup and take down, easy to manuver and has a smooth ride. However, it is a bit heavy at 27 lbs, but what do you expect with a stroller that can hold a child up to 50lbs!? Love the vibrant blue and grey motif, and it even goes with all of our girly stuff for our daughter. The infant seat is a bit heavy duty too, but well cushioned, adjustable and spacious for our little princess. If you want a heavy duty, upper middle range travel system that's not too expnsive, this is the one for you!
