About - Joovy Kooper

The Joovy Kooper is part of the stroller test program at Consumer Reports. In our lab tests, traditional stroller models like the Kooper are rated on multiple criteria, such as those listed below.

Ease of use:
Ease of use is based primarily on ease of using and adjusting the safety harness, folding and unfolding, adjusting backrest, lifting and carrying, engaging wheel brakes and car seat removal and installation (only for compatible strollers).

Maneuverability:
Maneuverability is assessed by trained staffers on how well the strollers maneuvered S-turns through cones, narrow sections, grass, dirt trails, uphill, downhill and curbs while walking.

Safety:
Safety is assessed by testing for compliance with the most current version of the standard, ASTM F833-11, and stability and usage tests designed by Consumers Union.

Comment:
We chose this stroller because it is light weight and easy to maneuver. We live in a walk up building in the city, so we are carrying it up and down stairs along with our 15-month old son at least once per day. After almost a year of use, it has served us well. It is comfortable for our son and convenient for strolling the neighborhood, parks, museums, and zoo. We have taken it to the aiport several times and it folds up nicely when boarding the plane.

The only cons are that you have to stroll with both hands at all times, which is really safer any way. Also, it has gotten a little creaky now from being stowed on planes and lugged up and down stairs so much. I would defintely recommend this stroller though for someone transitiong from a snap n go, which is what we had previously.
How long have you owned it:
More than six months
Bottom Line
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.
