About - Mia Moda Veloce

The Mia Moda Veloce is part of the stroller test program at Consumer Reports. In our lab tests, traditional stroller models like the Veloce are rated on multiple criteria, such as those listed below.

Ease of use:
Ease of use is based primarily on ease of using and adjusting the safety harness, folding and unfolding, adjusting backrest, lifting and carrying, engaging wheel brakes and car seat removal and installation (only for compatible strollers).

Maneuverability:
Maneuverability is assessed by trained staffers on how well the strollers maneuvered S-turns through cones, narrow sections, grass, dirt trails, uphill, downhill and curbs while walking.

Safety:
Safety is assessed by testing for compliance with the most current version of the standard, ASTM F833-11, and stability and usage tests designed by Consumers Union.

Comment:
After doing a lot of research on lightweight strollers, we decided on the Veloce because of the price, Consumer Reports ratings, comfort for our son (suspension and seat), sun canopy, and colors. We received the stroller, set it up, put our baby in, and the strap is already tight on him. He is 10 months and 23 lbs and we bought this stroller for the long haul to use up to 40 lbs. We will have to return it. Interestingly, I called customer service and the crotch strap is almost 2 inches longer on the Mia Moda Facile stroller! (FYI... the crotch strap is 7 inches to the very top of the buckle on the Veloce and almost 9 inches to the top of the buckle on the Facile per customer service.) So, if you're looking for a lightweight stroller that will last you for as long as your child wants to be in a stroller (as we were), this may not be the one for you.

Comment:
I ordered this stroller based on Consumer Reports recommendation. I have to say I like this stroller a lot (before I strapped my 3 months old baby). The price is a bargain. When I strapped my 3 months old baby, the Crotch Strap was so tight. Unfortunately, it's not adjustable too. I was so sad that I have to return this stroller. If it's not because of the short Crotch Strap, this stroller would indeed a good buy!
