I used this product on my 6 mo old. The readings were inconsistent and all over the place. We had better luck with our standard thermonitor.

Comment:
I am an engineer and my wife is a Physician we have used this product for the last year checking temp on our toddler and ourselves. It is nice because you turn it on and then push the read button and then you have a few seconds to get it into the toddlers ear. Once inside it takes a quick reading and if the toddler moved you can retry right away. The other ones we used made you hold the button while trying to hold the toddler and point it inside thier ear. We have excellent results with ours and we checked it against the ones used in the clinic. They read the same.

Bottom Line
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.

Comment:
We haven't tested it scientifically, but the Braun ear thermometer gives consistent readings that are in line with our other electronic and mercury thermometers.

I like that you can hold a crying baby in one arm and quickly, after a bit of practice, take a temperature reading fast without having to force them to do something uncomfortable.

Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.

I bought this thermometer based on friends' recommendation. I saw my friends used it with their kids and found out it is very convenient and easy to use. This unit also comes with a case. It takes AA battery. One word, love it.

simply convenient, 1 push and 3 seconds to have the tempareture read

Bought this to replace the old fashion Thermometer. Instantly found it very convenient and fast. I used to hate take Thermos measurement, due to the inconvenience, now it's not the case anymore. Also, the battery seems last very long.

a great ear thermometer

Strength
easy to operate, fast, relative accurate, have both F and C readings
Weakness
NA
This is my first ear thermometer. We bought it from a local Walmart with fair price. So in our hands,it works as great as it advertised:easy to use, fast and accurate measurement and a relatively big LCD display (it will be better if it were backlighted). The most convenient feature i like is that the temperature reading can be set either F or C. It also came with a small case which can keep it from damage.Overall I like this product.
